Your Jericho walls
Are going to tumble.I bless you to keep marching.
What if the Israelites had stopped
After the sixth lap?
What if a naysayer had whined,
“This isn’t working—we’ve been laughed at
For six days now? Marched around these
Same walls for six days. I’ve had it.”
I wonder how often we give up
One day too early?
I wonder how often we quit
One day before the breakthrough?
Maybe the thick walls
That have been blocking your progress
Are the kind that only come down
After seven days of marching.
Maybe the sweet fruit of answered prayer
That you need most
Is the kind that comes from knocking
Day after day.
Maybe the breakthrough is around the corner.
So I bless you to keep on marching.
Those walls are coming down one day
And God wants you there to see it!
