To the Potter’s house,
With Jeremiah
And watch.

Watch the Artist
Throwing the clay,
Spinning the wheel,
Shaping mud into glory.

What do you notice first
About the Potter?

“His eye is on the clay.”

The vessel has
His full attention.

The Potter never
Takes His eye off the
Creation of clay—
Never becomes distracted.

“Every single moment
You are thinking of me”
Exclaims the Psalmist. (Ps. 139:17, The Passion Translation)

He’s thinking of you,
Child of God,
In order to shape you.

I bless you to rest
In the thought
Of the Potter’s skillful eye
Fixed on you.
