Child of God,
The Blood of Jesus,
Has been shed for you!
The work is finished.

You’re like the Hebrew fathers in Egypt
Who were told “take some of the blood
And put it on the two doorposts and the lintel….” (Exodus 12:7)

The sacrifice has been made.
The promise is sure.
Wherever there is the blood,
The Destroyer shall not be allowed in.

“When I see the blood,
I will pass over you….” (Exodus 12:13)
The Lord assured.

It wasn’t about the Hebrews’ righteousness.
It wasn’t about the father’s merit.

It was about the blood.

With confidence and joy
Because you know the blood of Jesus
Has been painted over your life!
