Satan is more defeated than
We have perceived.

Jesus’ name is more powerful
Than we have conceived.

We have been given more authority
Than we have believed.

Those are the lessons from Luke 10,
Where Jesus sends out the 72,
And they return overjoyed
That even the demons are subject to them
In Jesus’ name.

Jesus answers the giddy followers
With a vision:
“I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven.”

Jesus has seen the defeat of evil
In the cosmic realm
And invites us into His heavenly vision
So that we, too, will fear no evil.

The key to strong faith
Is accurate vision.
I bless your spiritual eyes
To see the demise of the devil
Which has been secured by the
Blood of the Savior.
