The Blessing of God’s Presence

Indeed, He is present everywhere.
Yes, if by wings of the morning,
You traveled to the uttermost parts
Of the sea,
He is there.

He is before and behind,
In the past and in the present,
In the heights and the depths;
Yes, child of God,
He is everywhere.

But, this Christmas,
Hear the angel’s words:
The Lord is with you.
Not theoretically,
Not theologically,
Not theistically…
But, personally,
Relationally,
Lovingly,
The Lord is with you.

Be not afraid,
The Lord is with you.
