The heavenly courtroom
Had assembled as usual.
But this day was different.
The facts of the case had changed.
The prosecutor was loud,
Prideful,
Demanding,
Deceiving,
Accusing.
The defendant was fearful,
Humbled,
Relinquishing,
Yearning,
Pleading.
The judge was just,
Righteous,
Unbending,
But loving,
Merciful.
Suddenly, a new defense emerged.
“Your honor,” the Advocate appealed,
“It is unjust for two people to pay for the same crime.
These charges have no foundation.
The debt has been paid.”
The gavel descended.
“Not guilty,” the judge proclaimed.
“Free to go.”
But the Accuser kept raging—
Until the judge said, “No more.”
“The great dragon was thrown down…
The devil… the deceiver…was thrown down.” (Rev. 12:9)
I bless you to walk in the confidence of
One fully acquitted of all charges.
Your plaintiff has been thrown out of the courtoom
Because your Advocate paid your debt.
