Hope, real hope,
God’s kind of hope,
“Does not put us to shame.”
(Romans 5:5, ESV)

It means,
Child of God,
That you are not
And cannot ever be
A disappointment to God.

“… This hope will not lead to disappointment.
For we know how dearly God loves us,
Because he has given us the Holy Spirit
To fill our hearts with his love.”
(Romans 5:5, NLT)

Do we sin?
Of course.
Do we stumble?
More than we’d like to admit.

But does God’s opinion of us change?
Not at all.

His love for you is infinite and pure
And based in no part upon your merit.

He’ll help you.
He’ll pick you up.
He’ll correct you.

But He’ll never shame you.
He loves you far too much for that.
