You’re blessed beyond belief—literally!
I’m delighted to spend these days not just offering a devotional thought but sharing a blessing for the day. Blessing is a visionary statement of faith about who you are and who you are designed to be. When we live by law, we perform in order to be blessed. When we live by grace, we receive blessing in order to flourish.
As we approach the American holiday of Thanksgiving, I yearn to bless the gratitude in your heart. A thankful heart is a joyful heart—and, oh, how we need joy now in these gray days. Gratitude erupts when (and only when) we contemplate our blessedness and we are (literally) more blessed than we now know.
Receive today’s blessing based on Ephesians 3:20-21:
“Beloved, in Jesus Christ, you’re blessed beyond
what your mind can now conceive.
In that sense, you are blessed beyond belief!
God is at work in you and through you and for you
in ways that are exceedingly, abundantly
above all you can currently ask or think.
Therefore, I believe this is a season
For your vision of God’s glory to grow,
Your experience of God’s greatness to grow,
And your assurance of God’s goodness to grow.”
You are blessed beyond belief. And that’s the Gospel!
