Grow in Wisdom

I bless you to grow in Wisdom.

Young Jesus grew wiser,

As Luke reported.

How Perfection can grow,
I do not know.

But…

If the Son of God increased in Wisdom

So can you!

Wisdom is more than IQ.

It is skill for living life—

                                                Savvy for navigating life’s seas—

                                                Discernment for difficult days..

                                                God gave you a remarkable brain.

                                                But your thoughts are more than neurons and synapses,

                                                You’re a living spirit, made alive with resurrection power!

                                                You’re made in His image—

                                                The likeness of the all-wise One.

                                                May you grow more and more like Him

                                                The fount of all wisdom.

Today’s blessing is inspired by:

Luke 2:52 (ESV) — 52 And Jesus increased in wisdom and in stature and in favor with God and man.

The blessing of Luke 2:52 is one I spoke over my children every day (and still do). It’s remarkable that Jesus, though sinless, could increase in His wisdom. Wisdom unfolds as we, by the grace of God, learn what works – how God works, how relationships work. You can grow in wisdom all the days of your life! And that’s the Gospel.
