I bless you to walk in constant
Expectancy of the
Favor of God because
You have been qualified
“To share in the inheritance of the saints” (Col. 1:12).
Because Christ paid it all,
None of your weaknesses or faults
Can disqualify you from the favor of God.
You’re under his favor during the night,
And during the day,
In the storm,
And in the calm.
Whether you feel it or not,
His right hand rests upon you.
Whether you see it or not,
The grace of God goes before you.

Part of today’s blessing is excerpted from the parting blessing in my new book, The Power to Bless, releasing February 2 (Baker Books). Pre-order it today and you’ll get a free audiobook!
When Joseph brought his boys to be blessed by their grandfather, Jacob, the old patriarch did a strange thing—he crossed his arms placing his right hand on the younger boy’s head. It was a picture of unmerited favor. The younger, undeserving one received the blessing that should have been given to the firstborn. It’s a picture of the Gospel! In Christ, God crossed His arms and offered you the blessing that only Jesus should have received. And that’s the Gospel!
