I bless you to receive, uh,
What is it?
“What is it?”
That’s what Israelites kept asking
When they saw the white, flaky stuff on the ground.
“What is it?”
In Hebrew, they were saying,
“Manna?”
(That’s what manna means—“what is it?”)
They never did change the name—
The mysterious nourishment was just called
“Manna.”
So, I’m blessing you to be nourished today
By the mystery of God’s grace.
May you be filled with His Spirit in a
Way that defies words—
A grace that can’t be explained.
But is real.
Oh, so real.
You don’t have to understand everything the surgeon does
In order to be healed.
Be blessed beyond words today.

The story of the manna in the wilderness is a shadow of the true Manna, Christ, the Bread from Heaven. I’ve walked with Jesus for a long time and still, He defies my description—His Spirit moves in ways I can’t define. But He’s good and He’s all we need. And that’s the Gospel!
