Hey!
Have you heard the news?
We might be tired, but God isn’t!
The Lord is the everlasting God,
The Creator of the ends of the earth.
He does not faint or grow weary;
His understanding is unsearchable.
He gives power to the faint,
And to him who has no might he increases strength. (Isaiah 40:28- 29)
I bless the strength of your spirit during these wearisome days.
I bless the endurance of your soul when the journey feels long.
Despite the toils of the world
And the perils of pandemic
Remember
God feels no fatigue.
The Sovereign Creator doesn’t get tuckered out.
And He, the Source of unquenchable energy,
Lives in you, saint of God.
And that’s the Gospel!

I have a friend who taught at Wheaton College in the suburbs of Chicago who said she didn’t complain of the cold until February and then she griped about it every day. February feels like a symbol of the way winter can drag on, standing in the way of spring. Our souls can feel like it’s February when a pandemic drags on, when troubles linger. The way to fresh energy is the power of blessing – of remembering Christ’s presence in your life.
The Power to Bless releases in stores everywhere tomorrow, February 2. If you pre-order it today, you’ll be entitled to receive a free audiobook as well. I hope you’ll learn all you can about the practice of blessing—you can change your life and the world around you!
