There’s enough grace for you today.
Which is good,
Because God only gives grace one day at a time.
Like the freshly liberated Israelites
Who hungered
And then found manna on the ground,
There’s daily nourishment in Christ for you.
It’s tempting to try to hoard manna,
But the Hebrews found out that it rots too quickly.
No point in trying to use yesterday’s grace for today.
God has fresh manna for you today.
God has a fresh move of the Spirit for you today.
God has a fresh word for you today.
And although you don’t know what tomorrow will bring
You can count on this—
There will be more manna tomorrow.
The manna didn’t run out
And neither does God’s grace.
After all,
Jesus is the true bread from heaven—
And He’ll always be there.
I bless your manna gathering today,
May you rediscover how ample His grace is for the day.

I like to send you a blessing every day because it’s the way of God—He announces an identity and a future over our lives and we live by the power of the vision. Today’s blessing is taken from the mysterious story of the manna in the wilderness (Exodus 16).
