Blameless

It’s a bold blessing to give you,

A bold claim to believe:

You’re blameless

In Christ.

Don’t blame me for such boldness,

Blame Paul, who wrote:

“He chose [you] in him before the

Foundation of the world,

That [you] should be

Holy and blameless before Him.” (Eph. 1:4)

The blame game started

In the beginning

With the first bite:

“The woman whom you gave to be with me,

She gave me fruit of the tree….”

She did it.

You did it.

The serpent did it.

Despite all the sin,

God isn’t chomping at the bit

To blame someone.

He’s bleeding at the side

To forgive someone.

So, if Christ took all the blame

For you,

The blame game is over.

Be blessed today, blameless child of God.
