“Not be anxious about anything,
But in everything
By prayer and supplication

Be made known to God.” (Philippians 4:6)

Yes, beloved,
It is part of your inheritance—
Part of what Christ bought for you:
No worries.

There is no blessing,
In this world,
For the guarantee of
A trouble-free life,
But there is every possibility
Of a worry-free life.

Worry adds nothing but
Weight
That makes heavy the heart.
So, I join with God to invite you to
Reject Worry
Of every sort.

May you turn every
“What if something bad happens…
Into a “What if something good happens….”
May you turn every anxious thought
Into a prayer
Because when your knees grow calloused,
Your heart does not.
