A Blessing to Receive Gifts of the Spirit

You’re not only Gifted,

You’re destined to become

More Gifted!

Some treat the

Gifts of the Spirit

Like they aren’t Gifts—

Like they are rewards

Or merit badges

Or accomplishments.

They ask,

“What are the steps

To receiving the Gifts?”

Must we

Prod God, or

Plead our case, or

Prove ourselves?

Must we

Sweat it out, or

Swear up and down, or

Sweep out the sin?

No, child of God,

Gifts are gifts, so only

One thing is required:

Receive.

Like a toddler with open arms,

Receive.

Receive, little one,

Receive the gifts of the Spirit.
