A Blessing for the Impossible

Lips quivering,

Eyes squinting,

The teenaged girl

Queries the resplendent creature.

“How can this be?”, Mary needs an answer.

How can this be real?

How can this be good?

How can this all work out?

Gabriel trumpets the answer

For Mary… and for us:

“With God nothing will be impossible.” (Luke 1:37)

This Christmas,

In whatever ways your mind wonders,

How can this be?
