God’s presence.

Differently than their forbears’

Passage through the Sea.

The venture into the

Promised Land began

With ark-bearing priests

Dipping into the Jordan waters.

The heavy presence of God,

Typified in the gilded

Ark of the Covenant,

The place of God’s palpable presence,

Was born upon the priests.

The children of God

Escaped slavery through

The blood of the Lamb

And they escaped Pharaoh

Through the miracle of the Sea,

But when God’s people

Began their conquest of the

Promised Land,

They moved forward by

The presence of God.

You, in Christ,

Are now the priest

Who moves forward under

The weight of His glory.

Enter your Promised Land

With God enthroned

Upon your praises.
