I bless you to be fruitful today.

Fruitful,
Not merely accomplished.
Fruitful,
Not merely successful.

To bear the Spirit’s fruit
Is to be a branch,
A beneficiary,
Of life already in the tree.

To bear spiritual fruit
Is to love with affection
That did not originate with you,
To laugh with joy
That did not begin with your circumstances,
To rest in peace
That does not fit human understanding.

You were made to bear fruit,
Child of God,
Not your own fruit,
Christ’s own fruit in and through you.
