A Blessing to Walk by the Spirit

Child of God,

Receive the promise

The Lord spoke through Paul:

“Walk by the Spirit,

And you will not gratify

The desires of the flesh.” (Gal. 5:16)

Walk by the Spirit

And your desires change—

Your delights change.

Walk by the Spirit

And your longings transform—

Your priorities rearrange.

I bless you today,

Amidst the spiritual battle,

To receive the freshness

Of the Spirit’s presence,

So you can walk with Him—

To see what He sees,

To love what He loves,

To celebrate what He celebrates.

May you walk by the Spirit,

By the Spirit, saint of God,

By the Spirit.
