A Blessing to Be a Royal Priest

You’re part of

“A royal priesthood” (1 Peter 2:9)—

The priests of the king’s domain,

A kingdom of priests.

In the Old,

You couldn’t be a priest

Unless…

You were born into the right family,

Ceremonially washed,

Properly clothed

Duly anointed with oil.

In Christ,

You’re all that,

Child of God!

Born again into God’s family,

Washed by the forgiving blood of Christ,

Clothed with His righteousness,

Anointed with the Holy Spirit.

You’re a priest.

You can handle the holy things.

You can come into His presence.

You can intercede for those on the outside.

You’re a royal priest!
