How deep is the Father’s love for you?
As deep as His love for His only begotten Son.
As the Nazarene shook the
Jordan water from His baptized head
And breathed new air
He heard His Father’s voice:
“You are my beloved Son;
With you I am well pleased” (Mark 1:11, ESV).
You are my Son, the Beloved,
And I take great joy and delight in You.
Think of such love.
Agape—covenant love.
Unbounding.
Unending.
Narrowed by choice.
Expanded by emotion.
Guaranteed by commitment.
Then, think of Paul’s words,
“You have been accepted in the Beloved” (Eph. 1:6).
You are in Him.
Then, think of Paul’s salutation to Christians,
“To those in Rome beloved of God” (Rom. 1:7).
I bless you to see it—
To believe it.
God loves you as He loves
His only begotten Son.
He is the Beloved.
You are the Beloved.
And He is taking great delight in you today!
