The One Percent Blessing

I bless you to grow,
One percent.

“One percent!”, the ambitious soul cries.
“It isn’t nearly enough!”

Indeed, one percent of the Promised Land
Isn’t enough…
For the end result, for the final tally.

But, ah, it is more than enough for today.

“I will not drive them out before you in one year,”
The Lord proclaimed to His
Pre-Promised Land people.
“Little by little I will drive them out before you…” (Ex. 23:29-30)

God knows that you conquer new land best
When you appropriate it
Little by Little.

A one percent better marriage is a better marriage.
A one percent better prayer life is a better prayer life.
A one percent better attitude is a better attitude.

I can see you taking the whole Promised Land
But
For today
I bless you to take one percent.
