“Come up here….” The invitation to John on Patmos isle Is yours as well. (Rev. 4:1)
On the throne,
Encircled by a rainbow of emerald
And twenty-four thrones
Of white-garbed, golden-crowned elders.
Behold the thunderous
Flashes of lightening
Proceeding from the throne
As Holy Spirit fire burns
Before the sea of glass.
“Come up here…”, God invites again.
Behold the highest of all
The created order,
Lion, ox, eagle and human,
Rapt in adoration of the King.
“Come up here…”, God beckons today.
I bless your spirit,
To join the eternal chorus,
To bow before the throne of grace,
And lay down your crown
In awestruck wonder at the goodness
