The Humility that Leads to Honor

May the weak times,
The humbling times,
The hard times,
Be, for you,
The gateway to honor.

“Humility comes before honor” (Proverbs 15:33, ESV).

When life circumstances
Seem to align against you
And life goals
Seem to elude you
And earthly aspirations
Seem to evade you,
May you savor the
Fellowship of the Savior
Who “did not count equality
With God a thing to be grasped,
But emptied Himself” (Philippians 2:6-7, ESV).

As surely as there is a fall
On the other side of pride,
There is honor awaiting
The humble.

I bless your season of humbling
That opens wide the gate to honor.
When life is low,
Take heart,
Child of God,
Honor is around the corner!
