It is Finished

It’s Good Friday, and I bless you with one of Jesus’s dramatic words from the cross

As He breathed his last and said,

“Tetelestai.”

It is finished.

So much in life is unfinished.

Still work to do.

Still so much more that we have to do,

And yet this is finished,

The work of salvation.

I bless you to live out of the certainty

That Jesus did all of the work of salvation

So it is finished,

And you, child of God,

Are free to live in the assurance of His grace.
