“You may be filled
With the knowledge of his will
In all spiritual wisdom
And understanding,
So as to walk in a manner
Worthy of the Lord,
Fully pleasing to him:
Bearing fruit in every good work
And increasing in the knowledge of God….” (Col. 1:9-10)
Be filled!
With knowledge
Wisdom
Understanding—
That’s your secret gateway
To a beautiful walk with God.
It’s not your self-righteousness
That pleases Him.
It’s not your striving
Or sacrificing
Or straining.
Not your working
Or worrying
Or wailing
That makes Him happy.
It’s you being full
Of Him!
So that you walk
Close to Him—
That’s what makes God glad.
Be filled today, child of God,
