The Road to Emmaus

It was Resurrection Day

And the disciples on the road to Emmaus were despondent.

They thought it was the worst day.

They thought that their hope was gone,

That Jesus was dead in a tomb,

And they didn’t realize they were talking to the risen Savior.

I bless you in this Easter season

In the same way their eyes were opened,

To have your spiritual eyes opened,

To see just how present Jesus is with you.

He’s alive!

And it means not only has death been defeated,

But it means He lives to fellowship with you.

I bless you with the eye-opening revelation

Of the presence of Jesus.

That changes everything.
