An Uber Conqueror

In Christ,
You aren’t merely victorious,
You are “more than a conqueror” (Rom. 8:37).

A “hypernike” (Greek)–
An “uber conqueror.”

From the Greek prefix “hyper”—
(“Above,” “beyond,” “the most possible”)

And the Greek noun “nike” –
(Winner, Victor, Overcomer).

More than an ordinary conqueror
(Who might win today and lose tomorrow),
You are secure in the victory of Christ over evil—
Your victory can’t be taken away.
Christ won’t win today and lose tomorrow,
So neither will you!

Christ has defeated the devil
And death
And despair
And disease
So, for you, in Christ,
There is a guarantee of everlasting triumph.

You’re an “uber conqueror”—
More than victorious,
Child of God,
More than a winner.
