Weep No More

“Thus says the Lord:
‘Keep your voice from weeping,
And your eyes from tears….” (Jer. 31:16)

There is a time to weep
And there is a time to lift your head!

There is a time to mourn your losses
And there is a time to imagine your gains!

There is a time to remember what once was
And there is a time to rejoice in what will be!

As surely as the Hebrew people
Would return from exile,
So you shall be restored
By the grace of God.

I bless you to feel
The soft stroke of the Savior’s hand
Wiping every wet tear from your face
As He whispers secrets of grace
Into your soul.

Sometimes you need to cry
And sometimes you need to
Let Him “keep your voice from weeping”
Because there is so much good to come.
So much good to come,
Child of God,
So much good to come.
