God is In Your Future

Listen.
What’s that sound?

Listen, Abraham,
Can you hear it?

Look up, Abraham.

“And Abraham lifted up his eyes
And looked, and behold,
Behind him was a ram,
Caught in a thicket by his horns” (Genesis 22:13)

God had been to Mt. Moriah
Long before He sent Abraham
Up the hill with his beloved Isaac.

There never was going to be a
Knife on Isaac’s neck;
Child sacrifice is an unthinkable abomination
To God.

God proved that He is Jireh,
The Lord who “provides”—
The One who “sees before”
And goes before
To make a provision ahead of time.

God is in your future,
Child of God.
I bless you today to rest
In the assurance—
He already is there,
In your future moment of need,
Placing a ram in the thicket for you.
