God’s Past, Your Future

May your future
And God’s past
Meet miraculously
At your every step,
Like God promised Joshua:

“Every place that
The sole of your foot
Will tread upon
I have given you.” (Josh. 1:3)

“Will tread…”
That’s Joshua’s future victory.
“Have given…”
That’s God’s past victory.

The Promised Land,
The inheritance,
Has already been given.

And…
The Promised Land,
The inheritance,
Will be appropriated.

God “has blessed” you
“With every spiritual blessing.…” (Eph. 1:3)
The inheritance has already been secured.
But appropriating it,
Enjoying it,
Is a process, step by step,
You’re growing spiritually.

What you will do
Is empowered
By what God has done.
He died for you,
Child of God,
That’s why (and how) you can
Take some more Promised Land today.
