A Blessing for Simplicity in a Complex World

May God give you the gift

Of Simplicity

Amidst

The Complexity.

Today’s world swirls

With ten thousand choices

Crowding our minds,

Holding our discernment hostage,

Freezing our will.

And, as hell claims

That the answer is one more choice—

Keep your options open

For fear of missing out,

Jesus comes with a glorious rebuttal:

“Seek first the kingdom of God

And His righteousness….” (Matt. 6:33)

It’s not one more opportunity that sets you free,

Child of God,

It’s One priority—

One, beautiful, all-sufficient goal,

Jesus and His kingdom.
