May you have the heart of a child—
Wild and wonderful and free,
Laughing and loving and learning,
Trusting and yielding and yearning,
Resting and rejoicing and growing,
Crying and hungering and healing,
With ease and simplicity and hope.
“Truly, I say to you,
Unless you become like children,
You will never enter
The kingdom of Heaven” (Matthew 18:2, ESV).
The way in isn’t the way of the world—
The riches of kingdom of the kingdom
Come not to the sophisticates,
But to the toddlers—the ones who stumble
And rely on someone bigger for everything.
May you be more like a little one
So you can experience the biggest blessings.
May God make you like a child,
Just like a child.
