“Let it be unto me
According to your word.”

Those are the breathtaking
Words of a teenager in Nazareth
To heaven’s messenger.

Though the promise is preposterous,
Though the plan is implausible,
Though the process feels impossible,
“Let it be unto me
According to your word.”

This Christmas,
May it be unto you
According to God’s Word!

May all the promises of God
Which are “yes and amen in Christ,
Find a forever “yes” in you,
Child of God.

His promises are true.
His promises are true for you.
