I bless you to

Work and keep

Whatever garden God

Has given you.

“The Lord God took the man

And put him in the garden of Eden

To work it and keep it.” (Gen. 2:15)

To work it—

To serve it, nourish it and cultivate it.

To keep it—

To watch over it, protect, fight for it.

I bless your diligence

To water well

And weed thoroughly.

I bless your confidence

To oversee vigilantly

And defend valiantly.
