God’s peace can protect your heart from the enemy’s onslaught.
I’m overjoyed with anticipation of the release of my new book at the beginning of February. The Power to Bless will not only lead you into the blessed life but will also teach you how to bless those you love. Blessing is more than a compliment and far better than wishful thinking—it’s a biblically grounded vision of who you are and what you can be by God’s grace. When you open your heart to receive blessing, it carries mystical power deep into your identity. Amidst these troublesome times, please open your heart and receive a blessing of peace rooted in Philippians 4:6-7:
The weeds of worry may try to entangle your day,
But God has a different plan for your morning, noon and night—
A plan for peace that passes understanding.
The thorns of angst invite you to brood over your predicaments,
But God has a different offer for you today— “do not be anxious about anything.”
In the midst of difficult days, when your heart’s confidence is assaulted from all sides,
I bless you to know the peace of God which will guard your deepest feelings and thoughts.
Child of God, you can know the unknowable;
You can apprehend the incomprehensible.
You walk in a quiet assurance that is unexplainable.
“The peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:7, ESV).
And that’s the Gospel!
