There is always, ALWAYS, a way to be grateful.
As we celebrate Thanksgiving today in America, it is under the weariness of a pandemic, the sting of political divisions and the cloud of an uncertain future. But there has never been a greater need for gratitude. How shall you thank the Lord today? One way is to turn your heart to the psalms—the worship book of Israel. There, in the timeless Word of God, you’ll find not only examples of praise, but also empowerment to praise.
I’m drawn to Psalm 103 again today to bless your spirit with gratitude for God’s deepest works of forgiveness, healing, redemption, honor and life.
Receive today’s blessing based on Psalm 103:1-4:
I bless your soul to bless the Lord
And all that is within you to bless His holy name!
As you bless Him, may you forget not all His benefits.
I bless you to uncover yesterday’s God moments,
Like a treasure hunter unearthing precious jewels.
The Lord, in Christ, forgives all your iniquity,
Heals all your diseases,
Redeems your life from the pit,
Crowns you with steadfast love and mercy,
Satisfies you with good
So that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
The more you discover how blessed you are, the more you bless the Lord. He’s blessed when you’re blessed. And that’s the Gospel!
