The Freedom Blessing

“It is for freedom

That Christ has

Set you free.

Stand firm, then,

And do not let yourselves

Be burdened again

By a yoke of slavery.” (Gal. 5:1)

As America celebrates her freedom,

I bless you to celebrate yours.

You can stand firm

In the day of temptation

Not in order to be free,

But because you are free!

The law that your foe

Leveraged to condemn you

Has been fulfilled by

The Savior who came to

Redeem you.

The old system has gone,

The new covenant has come.

I bless you today to stand firm

In the assurances of God’s grace

Through which you have received

The fullness of the Holy Spirit.

You are FREE.

Free from condemnation.

Free from hell’s accusations.

Free from fleshly bondage.

It is for freedom that Christ has

Set you free!
