Every now and then,
We need a good Southerner’s
Translation of the Bible
So we can get the grammar right,
Like Joshua 1:3:

“Every place that
The sole of your foot will tread upon
I have given to you.”

Without a “southern” translation
You can’t tell that the “your”
And the “you”
Are plural.
It’s not just a promise to Joshua—
It’s a promise to everyone with Joshua.

Southern translation:
“Every place that y’all’s feet will tread upon
I have given to all y’all.”

It’s really good news
When you find out that
You get the territory along with Joshua.
All who are in Jesus, our true Yeshua,
Get every spiritual blessing.
The Promised Land, the riches of the kingdom,
Are for all y’all who are in Christ!
