Yesterday

It’s not that you have leaked!

It’s not that you have lapsed!

No, child of God,

You can be filled

And yet be made more full.

You can be empowered

And yet be made more strong.

Can not a mind full of knowledge

Can not a heart full of affection

Love more?

Who would ever say,

“I laughed yesterday so

I shall not laugh again?”

Who would ever think,

“I felt peace yesterday so

I need no more tranquility today?”

More to you and in you!

More of His love!

More of His power!

More of His joy!

There’s always more goodness in God.

Be filled continually with the Spirit.
