A Blessing to Fear No Babylon

I bless you to

Be not dismayed

By Babylon’s tyranny,

For, surely,

The days of exile will not last,

Every Babylon will fall.

Receive the assuring word

The Lord sent the Hebrew exiles:

“When seventy years are completed

For Babylon,

I will visit you

And I will fulfill

My promise

And bring you back.” (Jer. 29:10)

When the years are
“Completed for Babylon….”

For Babylon, not for you.

A little handwriting on the wall,

And Babylon crumbled

And God’s people returned.

Be not dismayed at any Babylon,

Exile for God’s people never lasts.

God has the last say.

He always does,

Child of God,

He always does.
