Why does Superman take the elevator?

Because Superman is also

Mild-mannered Clark Kent.

And Spiderman is also

Young Peter Parker.

And what about you, Christian?

You’re more than a conqueror!

You’re full of the Spirit of Jesus!

You’re the “elect”!

Why do you drive to work,

Take out the trash,

And too often endure insult?

Because you’re also an “exile”

Passing through this world.

You’re both “elect” and “exile.”

You are, according to 1 Peter 1:1

An “elect exile.”
