Christ in you is the hope of glory

He “chose

to make known

how great … are the riches of the glory

of this mystery,

which is Christ in you,

the hope of glory.” (Col. 1:27)

Christ-lover,

In you, the mystery is unveiled.

In you is the

Hope of glory.

In the shadow of the

Man and Woman’s sin by the

Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Bad,

The Lord of grace had a plan.

The plan was hidden in plain sight

As it unfolded on the pages of the Torah

And the prophets

And the psalmists

And the sages.

Though the plan had been

Practiced on the altars of holy places

And prophesied on the lips of holy men

And played on harpists’ strings and sung,

No saint, or angel, or demon had seen it fully

Until …

Christ’s resurrection power took up residence

In you.

God’s Spirit alive inside you.

I bless you today to walk the earth

As God’s mystery unveiled—

His hope unleashed.

Christ in you is the hope of glory.
