Can you Enjoy Repenting?

If God’s kindness is meant

To lead you to repentance” (Rom. 2:4)

I bless you to experience

The love of God that

Brings you to repentance,

So you can not only repent,

But learn to love every chance to repent!

Repent, “metanoeo” (Grk)

It means “change your mind”—

To see differently, to think differently,

To embrace truth that transforms.

Like an unbalanced child

Who lets her daddy steady her first bike ride,

Or a lost person who

Decides to invoke the GPS,

Or a double-faulting tennis player who

Decides to take a lesson,

To repent is to learn the better way

From a higher Wisdom.

It’s God’s goodness,

His kind intentions for your best,

That makes for our repentance.

So, I bless you to repent

And enjoy it!
