A Blessing to Receive Jesus’ Peace

Jesus has offered you

His own peace,

The calm of His very heart,

I bless you to receive it.

He hasn’t offered you

A study program to understand peace,

Or a religious practice to discover peace,

Or a strategic new plan to usher in peace.

He has offered you His very heart.

A share in His own serenity.

Programs and practices and plans

Have their place –

But there is nothing like

The gift of Christ’s own secure heart.
