Through the eyes of Jesus
You can see miracles in the making!

It was the ninth hour,
A crowded time as the faithful
Pressed toward the temple
And Peter and John ambled toward
The gate called Beautiful
As they had a thousand times.

The beggar asking for alms
Was a fixture—nothing for Peter to notice.

Until the Holy Spirit directed his vision:

“Peter directed his gaze at him, as did John” (Acts 3:4).

It was a holy pause—
A divine double take.

Peter some something other than a beggar—
He saw a miracle in the making.

Silver and gold have I none,
But such as I have I can give—
In the name of Jesus Christ,
Rise up and walk.

I bless your spiritual eyes to see
The miracles God has planned in others
So you can believe them
And speak them
And witness them!
