Wow. You got the best seat in the house!

I’m blessing you to enjoy the view.

Paul says you’ve been “raised up

With Christ and seated with him in the heavenly places.” (Eph 2:6)

Yeah, I know, your feet are still firmly planted on the earth—

And sometimes it feels like they’re mired in the mud.

But your life, your deep spiritual self, has been resurrected with Jesus

And, mind-bending as it is, you’re already positioned with Christ.

Amazing. How’d you land that ticket?

Like every really good seat I’ve ever had—

The seat with Christ is a gift.

You didn’t get the seat because of your large contributions

To the alumni association.

You didn’t get the seat because you snuck into it

Either.

It’s really your seat.

Because, and only because,

Christ was crucified and resurrected for you.

There’s nothing ordinary about any Christian’s life.

When you’re seated with Christ, you have His perspective,

His authority,

And, most of all,

His companionship.

Enjoy your seat—no one can kick you out of it.
