A Blessing for the Holy Nation

“A holy nation” (1 Peter 2:9)—
A “set apart” people,
Uniquely made for God,
Privileged to enjoy His presence
To the full.

Holy isn’t what you do,
Child of God,
It’s who you are.

Does a bride toss aside her diamond?
Does a sports buff scrap his Michael Jordan autograph?
Does a guitarist bash his vintage Martin D28?

NO.

Whatever is highly prized
Is “set apart.”

May you live from
Your holiness today—
Not for it!
You’re forever
Part of a holy nation,
Prized and set apart
For God alone.
